The goalkeeper of the national team of Georgia is in the Gabala team!
The Gabala team started the preparations for the 2nd term of the Premier League. The team has got together in the Hotel "Elite" and holds its training matches in Baku. The Gabala team will test its plenty of players during its stay in Baku until the 18th of January.
As it is known from the media as well, an agreement was reached with the local fullback Mikail Namazov and halfback Yashar Abuzarov. They will play for the Gabala team beginning with the 2nd term. Azar Baghirov (fullback) and Rahman Azizov (halfback) are under observation. Together with Azar and Rahman, the fullbacks Alexander Kulik (Estonia), Miodrag Stephanovich (Serbia), the halfback Anatoli Ostap (Moldova), the forwards Nikolay Losanov (Estonia) and Thomash Stolpa (Poland) are also in the camp for several days.
Together with them, 2 more players have been invited for observation. One of them is the Georgian goalkeeper Mirza Merliani. Mirza Merliani was born on October 5th in 1980. His height is 185 cm. He played for the Olympic national team of Georgia in 2000. It is interesting that Mirza Merliani played together with Valeri Abramidze and Georgi Adamia who are pretty famous in Azerbaijan. Mirza Merliani played for the clubs "Torpedo" (Kutaisi), "VIT Georgia" (Tbilisi), "Arsenal" (Tbilisi) and "TSU Tbilisi". He also was a legionary player for "Vetra" of Estonia. His latest club was the Georgian champion "Olympi". The goalkeeper who played in the match for "Unity Cup" last year, was one the leading players of his team. It should be mentioned that one of his team friends Mixeil Alavidze plays for the team "Standard", Mixeil Maxviladze "Simurg", Revaz Getsadze "Olympic", Mixail Mesxi "Karvan" at present. If Mirza Merliani gains the head coach Ramiz Mammadov's sympathy, he will be the 5th player who changed "Olympi" to Azerbaijan.
His recent plays also drew attention of Ektor Kuper, the famous head coach of the national team of Georgia. The specialist of Argentina made him join the national team and Mirza Merliani was in the team in friendly match against Rumania on November 19th.
One more player who is under observation is Gurban Aliyev. His height is 190 cm. The 26-year old forward from Dagistan drew attention with his nice plays in the team "Shahdagh" of Gusar.
