The first match that "Gabala" PFC played under AFFA flag became the first division of Azerbaijan Championship. The Club starting its matches in 2005-06 season became winner of the first division in that year and received a certificate for supreme league.
In the following season "Gabala" PFC debuted in the supreme league taking the 11th place among 13 teams left the teams "Genjler Birliyi" and "Shahdag" behind and held its place in the supreme group. In 2007-2008 season "Gabala" PFC left the teams "Baku", "Karvan", "Simurg" behind in Azerbaijan Premier League.
Our team taking 35 points made its best result in biennial Premier League history in the final season.
It stopped the performance in 1/8 final losing to "Turan" for the 1st time and to "Baku" for the 2nd time in the matches for Azerbaijan Cup in which it had participated for 3 times. And received a certificate to semi-final winning against MOIK, "Simurg" and "Baku" for the last time. In that stage it lost the match to "Khazar-Lankaran" and stopped its performance unfinished.
