Gabala’s Azerbaijan national wushu team challenger Parviz Abdullayev, 75 kg, came on the canvas on the last 11th day of the 4th İslamic Solidarity Games. He faced Rahmat Ovezberdiyev (Turkmenistan) in the round of 16 and Ismail Uzuner (Turkey) in the round of 8 and beat both by 2:0. He also lost to Yazdan Mirzayi with the same result and finished with a bronze medal.

It is worth to remember Gabala’s Rafael Aghayev (75 kg), taekwondo challenger Milad Beigi Harchegani (80 kg), boxer Javid Chalabiyev (60 kg) won gold medals while Aishə Gurbanly (48 kg), Kifayat Qasimova (57 kg), boxers Tamerlan Abdullayev (69 kg), Kamran Shahsuvarly (75 kg) and Rauf Rahimov (81 kg) hit silverwares. And taekwondo challenger Mahammad Mammadov (63 kg) won a bronze medal.

Rufat Ismayilov and Ushangi Kokauri took men’s judo gold medal while Kifayat Gasimova earned silverware. Gabala footballers Rashad Sadigov, Tellur Mutallimov and Elvin Jamalov were a part of the Azerbaijan national team took the first place.
