Coca-Cola school cup ends first round

Gabala"s Football in the Community Department (FITCD) and AFFA launched Coca-Cola football cup tournament for high schools of Gabala region since 1st March. The joint project is the second within the collaboration with football governing body of Azerbaijan. Varying from the first project, the current tournament will enable us to determine the winner school which will represent Gabala city across the country for the next round. 

The competition is joined by twenty five high schools, and the pace started in the Boyuk Amili Stadium with five from Nij, Mikhligovag, Yemishanli, Mirzabayli and Chukhur Gabala. Two best school teams from each five groups will be picked to the next round.

Mikhligovag – Chukhur Gabala - 0:2 
Mirzabayli - Nij 4 - 1:1 
Yemishanli – Chukhur Gabala- 1:0

Nij 4- Mikhligovag - 2:4 
Mirzabayli - Mikhligovag - 0:6 
Nij 4- Yemishanli -0:2 
Mikhligovag - Yemishanli -1:2 
Chukhur Gabala -Nij 4 -1:2. 

With twelve points beating all the other teams, Yemishanli stays on top ahead of Mikhligovag by 6-point difference, which was the same with those of Chukhur Gabala. But Mikhligovag went better through to more goals.

At the end of the competition round, Gabala FITCD presented pupils the club academy"s symbolic pens and certifications, together with AFFA"s balls for the schools and Coca-Cola t-shirts for their trainers.

Coaches of Gabala FITCD and Academy are determined to involve the potential school players in their training operations after seeing their performances.
