Gabala are going to face Inter Baku in an away match of the Azerbaijan Cup semifinal of their 12th season Thursday.

Pre-Match Statistics:

- It is going to be registered as the 51st domestic cup experience after 24 victories and the red-black team will go for 25th jubilee win after following 17 draws and 9 losses.

- Gabala are just one goal away from the jubilee 80th goal in all the domestic cup games. In all 50 ties, opponents scored 42 goals.

- It is going to be the fifth cup semifinal of Gabala ever. We could take only one tally to the final after four semifinal experiences. It was when Gabala knocked Khazar Lankaran out of the contest in the 2013/14 season by 3:0 and 1:1.

- Gabala’s maiden cup semifinal experience was in the 2007/08 season when Khazar Lankaran won the round with 1:3 and 1:1.

- The next year, Gabala met Inter Baku and both sides won their home matches –0:5, 2:0. But the team from capital Baku developed into the final round.

- And last year, Roman Grigorchuk’s side was unable to beat Neftchi in the semifinal – 1:1, 1:1, pen. 3:4.

- Gabala took two victories in this stage following also two losses and four draws.

- With exception of the penalty shootout, Gabala are staying unbeaten in the last five semifinal events. And the last three matches ended in 1:1.

- The red-black squad are keeping their unbeaten streak of the last nine cup games after their last defeat to Simurg in the round of eight on March 4, 2015. But this followed five wins and four draws.

- The chance of winning this away promises two more jubilees as Gabala can take the 80th away victory ever, as well as 10th in the cup.

- Gabala’s away possession includes 79 victories from altogether 217 games, as well as nine from 22 cup outings.

It is worth to remember that Gabala forced Zagatala off the tournament in the round of 16 (2:2, pen. 4:1), also AZAL in the round of 8 (2:1, 1:0).
