Gabala accepted Neftchi in the 25th tour of the Premier League where both sides were expected to struggle warmly just for higher levels on the table.

The match started by mutual checkup attempts. The early minutes of the trial efforts then developed into attacks that led to the 29-minute opener by the visitors. Neftchi”s Bahodir Nasimov seized on mistake of our defensive line before shooting into the net. Gabala”s Yannick Kamanan, Victor Mendy and Ebecilio went too close to leveling in the first half but their efforts were off the target.

Although Gabala restarted faster to the second period, the next goal was produced by the guests when Nasimov doubled his earlier goal driving benefits from space in the red-black defense.

Only after 4 minutes, right in the 68th minute, Gabala were able to score drawing the goal deference down to one with Ebecilio”s superb shot. The goal prompted Gabala to regain the momentum and they caught some chances until the final whistle, but their efforts went wide of the target. The last pulsating moment came out during the extra 3 minutes as Nizami Hajiyev”s header was denied by the post. The result left Gabala lost to Neftchi for their 3rd time in the season.
