Elnur beats record by Elnur

Elnur Mustafazadeh, a student of the Gabala Academy appeared to be the youngest player of the main team after joining the Sunday match against Baku in the 78th minute. Having been born on 14 September of 1995, Elnur is under 17 and renews the 7-year record of Gabala that was sealed by Elnur Allahverdiyev on 21st September 2005. The latter made his senior debut 7 days after his 17th birthday when the team was called as Goy-Gol of Khanlar at their first-leg match in the First Division against Sharur. Now his record has been beaten by his namesake.

Another young flavour of the team other than the two Elnurs is Nuran Gurbanov under 18, who made his debut at the Premier League match against Ganja on 27 February of 2011 – 17 years, six months and 19 days after his birth on 10 August of 1993.

Tarzin Jahangirov and Amil Yunanov also joined the main team right after their 18.
