Gabala lost to Kapaz by 2:0 in the seventh tour home match of the Azerbaijan Premier League. 

Roman Grigorchuk’s men started faster but were unable to break the opponent's defense in early minutes. The sides went more into the first period with mutual attacks. Gabala’s first threat was set up by Dion Omar Malone coming one-on-one with the Kapaz goal keeper, but failed on his further effort.

After the restart, the Gabala coach introduced Famoussa Kone to step up inroads into the Kapaz defence, but the visitors opened the scoring as Karim Diniyev converted in with a follow-up kick after a corner. The goal prompted Gabala to go faster into the other end that led to a quick counter attack by the visitors. Ilkin Sadigov surged forward from the left and finished to double Kapaz’s lead.

Then Grigorchuk introduced third forward Ekigho Ehiosun but Gabala were unable to make productive finish again. After the final whistle, the red-black team saw their first home loos of the season.
