Gabala take Inter 2:1 at home in the 25th round of the Unibank Premier League. With the 17th tie being of Inter"s statistical possession, Gabala were favorite as a successful side of the last home matches. It seemed just a matter of time for the opening minutes with quick pressings of Fatih Kavlak"s men.

The visitors" early defensive display was full of fouls, which put their keeper under four free kicks. But clear Georgi Lomaia was firmer than he was expected after Mahir Shukurov, Aleksandr Certoganov and Yannick Kamanan"s goalbound shots.

The pace of the second period started with backs-to-the-wall display of the both sides before Gabala regained the possession. Rovshan Amiraslanov set up Yannick to hit the straight ball visiting keeper denied in the 55th minute.

The deadlock was broken by the latter just in the hour mark. Yannick finally beat the Lomaia barrier having the searching ball by Dodo from far left flank post – 1:0. But late on, Gabala a bit slowed down inroads into the Inter defense and it led to the equalizer shot by opponent Nizami Hajiyev on 76 minutes.

But it was Gabala regaining a momentum after Kavlak sent off Rovshan to introduce Deon Burton, which was a timely reinforcement before the home side went better on the scoring table just 2 minutes later, in the 81st minute. After Lubo Baranin"s traditional throw-in, Lomaia denied the ball that Burton latched on to fire in- 2:1.

Gabala"s sustained period of pressure irritated visitor Khayal Mustafayev fouling on Dodo, one of the night"s men, who cut the Inter defensive line on 88 minutes. Inter"s blot made them to be reduced as it was the last remembering moment of the match-up.

Now Kakhaber Tskhadadze might have been the third coach that left Gabala city drooling for disappointing away night after Khazar Lenkoran and Neftchi.
