Gabala have beaten Sumgayit with cleansheet victory in the 25th tour of the Topaz Premier League at home.

Starting by mutual attacks, the sides were unable to set threats during the first period. But it was Gabala taking the lead before scoring in the 23rd minute. Javid Huseynov”s corner from the left found Urfan Abbasov, whose header was finished by Victor Mendy – 1:0.
Then Ekigho Ehiosun came one on one with the opponent keeper, who could deny Gabala”s attack before Sadigov”s further shot was off the target.

Mendy doubled Gabala”s lead by his second goal in the 34th minute being set up by Javid. The top-scorer player from Senegal scored in the winner – 2:0. Although the teams launched much more efforts, they were unable to score one more of the night.

Now after 3 victories on the trot, Roman Grigorchuk”s team are sitting 4th on the league table.
