Gabala vs Sumgayit Shahar- Sunday

Gabala are going to play home match against Sumgayit Shahar in the fifteenth week of the Unibank Premier League on Sunday. 

It will be the second meeting after 112 days from the last match-up, away, that Gabala won over the opponent 2:1 on 14 August 2011. Gabala's capitalized players in that game were Daniel Lopez Cruz and Luis Paulo Hilario. 

Our squad have met up with other representatives of Sumgayit city many times up to now.

Our team had won Ganjlarbirliyi-2 at two matches in 2005/2006 (4:1, 4:1) and also the home team Ganjlarbirliyi in 2006/2007 earning six points (2:0, 1:0) playing at league. 

Next season was successful for us beating the opponent two times again (6:0, 2:2), when we were under spotlight then.

Standard, another representative of the youth city, was also beaten by Gabala in the 2009/2010 season’s two games with the same score- 2:1. 

Gabala gained three victories out of four games over Standard before they removed to Sumgayit, one was our loss. But, in 2007/2008 (1:0, 1:0) and 2008/2009 (0:2, 2::1) they performed as a team from Baku.
