Gabala have beaten Ravan in away with 3:1 in the 14th tour of the Topaz Premier League. With the comfortable victory, Gabala are holding on unbeaten for the last four ties.

Gabala started faster and took the lead from the early minutes. It led to their first threat in the 3rd minute when Daniel Lopez Cruz lashed on the ball from the close range, but the host keeper was clear. The long-range shot by Yannick Kamanan could have opened the scoring in the 6th minute, but Davud Karimi gave another save for his team. And finally Mendy was better than the Ravan keeper in the 13th minute- 0:1. The home side fed back 11 minutes later when Tofig Mikayilov shot to level before Rashad Abdullayev, having free kick, shot the ball touched a Ravan player and found the opponent net.

Our team went down to 10 in the last minute of the half as Rashad Abdullayev was sent off. But it was great testimony of Gabala spirits on 71 minutes when Rodrigues Assis scored penalty responding to the Ekrem Hodzic foul on Dodo in the box - 1:3. It would be much worse for Ravan in the 86th minute, but Dodo was denied by the woodwork. In the closing times, the home side threw everything at the visitors, but Gabala held on and the matters had been settled well before.

Now through the fourth win on the trot, Gabala have reached up to the 3rd place on the league table extending their points to 22.

Ramiz Mammadov: “I appreciate my team as they did not allow the space after Rashad Abdullayev got his red. You can not imagine a player without any cards or orders. Rashad could not keep his nerves and deserved the red card. I will do something to fit this.

Kemal Alispahic: “I congratulate my team for being brave on the show. It was difficult in the starting minutes when we conceded the earlier goal. But we created momentum to level for the later periods. The game was balanced before we were disappointed by the second goal. The opponents were switched to counter attacks in the second half. Torres failed to take advantage of the second equalizer at his great chance on one occasion. Today, Gabala showed they are really a strong team on show.
