The Azerbaijan judo national team have reached up to the top of the European Youth Championship being held in Sarajevo of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 20 to 22 September. They earned the lead by 2 gold and 2 bronze medals. It is gratifying that, the staff includes also Gabala"s Mehman Sadigov, 55 kg, earning bronze to be a part of the national success. He beat Swiss Matteu Groell at the fight for the 3rd place.

The gold medal was gained by 55 kg Davud Mammadov as Rashad Rufullayev and Oruj Valizadeh earned, respectively, gold and bronze both fighters in 60 kg. Our national judocas are fighting amongst 416 fighters from 43 countries.
