Gabala took 3:2 away victory over Neftchi in the 12th tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League.

The first half was full of mutual attack. The opener was scored in the 19th minute when Emin Mahmudov put Neftchi one ahead after a corner. This was registered as the 100th goal in all 41 ties of the pair. 

After the goal, Gabala coach Roman Grigorchuk introduced Ruslan Gurbanov who earned the red-black team a corner finished shot by Gismat Aliyev and clinically finished by Bagaliy Dabo. The goal was Dabo’s sixth in the league and he stays on top of the scorers’ list.

After the restart, the match went into wormer period and the home side denied by a post at times. But the team from Baku too the lead again after one another corner before a header by Kiril Petrov. But Neftchi’s lead didn’t live long again and was broken by a penalty after Famussa Kone was fouled in the box. Ruslan Gurbanov shot was right on the target. His eighth goal was also the third penalty.

Gabala’s further efforts was canceled when Dabo was denied by a post, Steeven Monroz was deflected by the opponent keeper. And Neftchi’s Emin Mahmudov and Rahman Hajiyev gave some troubles to our keeper Bezotosniy. But the Ukrainian keeper held clear.

At times within Gabala’s counter attacks, Asif Mammadov set up Monroze to surge into the box and the latter scored the all-important goal that was his fourth for the red-black team.
