Ozobic hit maiden hat-trick and 20th goal

Post-match statistics after beating Mil-Mughan with 8:0 in the Azerbaijan Cup round of 16, November 29, 2017.

- Filip Ozobic scored his 20th for Gabala with his hat-trick. Now he is an integral part of Gabala’s top four scorers with at least 20 goals. The Croatian is sharing the 3rd place with Rovshan Ahmadov being followed by Victor Mendy (with 33) and Dodo (with 30)

- Ozobic’s twenty goals include five in cup as one of the top three cup scorers of Gabala sharing same level with Vusal Garayev.

- Filip is the second with cup hat-trick after Garayev, who scored three goals against Shahdagh for 6:0 victory on October 16, 2006.

- The Croatian reached to be the 16th player scoring hat-trick for Gabala. This is also the 34th hat-trick by all Gabala footballers.

- Four new footballers came on the pitch against Mil-Mughan as their maiden experience for Gabala. Hajiagha Hajiyev, Agil Mammadov, Amin Seydiyev and Ulvi Isgandarov extended the list of Gabala footballers to 227 players.

- Of all the 227 footballers, 119 players scored a goal. Ulvi and Hajiagha are added to 117 players scored in their debut match.

- Urfan Abbasov took on his 19th cup experience for Gabala. The defender gained a title of the most experienced footballer in the cup.

- Javid Huseynov shot his tenth penalty for Gabala all turned into goal making record.

- This was the 46th high-scoring victory of Gabala, including 9 in the cup.

- The red-black team reached to their 29th home match with at least three goals. All these experiences include seven in the cup and two in away.

- Gabala beating Mil-Mughan with 8:0, struck their highest-scoring cup win ever after beating the same opponents in December 2015.

- Gabala also repeated the team’s highest-score ever in the record path registered against Sharur in the First Division on September 21, 2005, as well as against Neftchi on September 10, 2016.
