SC Gabala won 19 medals in Islamic Solidarity Games

The 4th Islamic Solidarity Games reached to the end after eleven days with the closing ceremony on May 22. Altogether 268 medals over 20 fields of sports were gained by 6,000 challengers from 54 countries. Azerbaijan’s national team ended on top with 162 medals including 75 gold medals, 50 silver medals and 37 bronze. SC Gabala is a part of all these achievements with nineteen medals by our 18 challengers in seven fields of sports. All the medals include 8 gold, 9 silver and 2 bronze medals.

Boxing:
Javid Chalabiyev (60 kg) – gold medal
Tamerlan Abdullayev (69 kg), Kamran Shahsuvarly (75 kg), Rauf Rahimov (81 kg) – silver medal

Judo (women):
Aisha Gurbanly (48 kg), Kifayat Gasimova (57 kg) – silver medal
Gasimova also took silverware for the national team. 

Judo (men):
Rufat Ismayilov and Ushanqi Kokauri – gold medal.
 
Shooting:
Nurlana Jafarova took round shooting stand medal with one in individual and another one in team challenge.
Emin Jafarov da “Qəbələ”nin atıcısı kimi gümüş medalçı olub.

Taekwondo:
Milad Beigi Harchegani (80 kg) – gold
Mahammad Mammadov (63 kg) bronze.

Karate:
Rafael Aghayev (75 kg), five-time world champion finished on top as his third medal in the Islam Solidarity Games, including two golds.
Niyazi Aliyev (67 kg) stayed out of winners’ line

Wushu:
Gabala’s only challenger Parviz Abdullayev (75 kg) gained a bronze medal.

Football:
Rashad Sadigov, Tellur Mutallimov and Elvin Jamalov were a part of the national U23 team won Islamic Solidarity Games.
