Gabala reserves, coached by Emin Imamaliyev, came on their next trial match within the winter break of the season. After leaving to Baku, the team faced Shuvalan, a First Division team, at the AZAL Arena. The sides shared a goalless draw. The game followed a day break and the red-black squad will get back to the preparations on January 20, just a day before another trial match fixe to Keshla substitutes.

Just to remember, Gabala reserves lost to Aghsu in the first testing game against Aghsu, another First Division team.
