They already knew about SC Gabala, Mammadov says

Gabala Sport Club’s boxing team endd up with the training camp in Krivoy Rog, Ukraine, after facing domestic KB-75. Gabala delegation’s leader, former boxer Fariz Mammadov shares his impression on the contest ended with 5:2 in the favor of the home side. He says to gabalafc.az:

“I can say as a former boxer Mahammadali Tahirzadeh excited me more than the other Gabala challengers. His performance was really good as he was challenging in a heavy weight match although his opponent was a two-time Ukraine champion and his national team’s captain Igor Shevadzutski. And he himself recently has left the youth class. Kamran Shahsuvarly and Umud Rustamov also fought well. Rauf Rahimov, Elvin Isayev and Roman Zakirov didn’t satisfied me. I think we should have won by 4:3. But the result was natural as the opponent were matching in their home city. After the matches, KB-75 president got up and apolagised for the case.

We took on two to three sparring efforts on a special training program. Gabala head coach Ramiz Mirkamalov and KB-75 boss Sergei Krinitski with his seven boxers also joined the program. The all gun really in a good condition.

Vladislav Binder, the president of the Krivoy Rog Boxing Federation already knew about SC Gabala when he approached to me. It is also tied to the fact that Azerbaijan national team coach Leonid Loivski and Gabala football team's head coach Roman Grigorchuk are from Ukraine.

The Ukrainian side sent invitation to our club for 10-day training camp and international friendly as they saw both Azerbaijan winners in the Rio-2016 Cup were from SC Gabala. We accepted the invitation with pleasure as we have some young boxers that we need them to have a good experience in international matches and trainings before representing Azerbaijan better in the future”.
