Gabala TV presents SC Gabala’s 2017 Statistics:

1. First Silver after Four Bronzes
Gabala’s senior football team took their fourth medal winning the silverware of the 2016/2017th season’s league. Roman Grigorchuk’s squad ended the second half of the season with five victories, six draws and three losses to take finish as the runners-up. Now this is the fourth medal after three bronzes.

2. Second Final
Gabala arrved to their second Azerbaijan Cup final after beating Inter Baku (3:1, 2:0) in the semifinal. In their second final experience ever, on May 5, we lost to Qarabagh with 0:2.

3. Collection of Medals
The reserve team added more medals to the club’s possession earning silverware that appears to be sixth ever after one gold, three silver and two bronzes. U11, U12, U13, U15 and U16 his first places of the AFFA youth leagues. U19 earned silver, U10 and U14 gained bronze medals. Gabala women hit the first place of their league.

4. First Top Scorer
Gabala midfielder Filip Ozobic hit the title of the 2016/2017 season’s top scorer. He shares the title with Rauf Aliyev. Ozobic is the first footballer of Gabala having the title.

5. New Recorders
Urfan Abbasov reached to be the one with most experience, 174 matches, on the pitch as a footballer while Roman Grigorchuk is having more experiences, 142 games, than any other coaches.

6. Once again in Europe
Gabala appeared in the Europa League for their fourth experience after ending the domestic top flight as the runners-up. The squad joined the continental tournament with the second Qualifying Round as their first experience.
 
7. Islamiada Trophy
Baku hosted Islamic Solidarity Games 2017 where Gabala’s eighteen challengers for the national teams. They won nineteen awards together with the team medals, including eight gold, nine silver and two bronzes. Among boxers, Javid Calabiyev (60 kg) gained gold, Tamerlan Abdullayev (69 kg), Kamran Shahsuvarly (75 kg) and Rauf Rahimov (81 kg) hit silverwares.

Among judocas, Aisha Gurbanly (48 kg) and Kifayat Gasimova (57 kg) won silver medals, and Kifayat went one ahead with a team medal. Rufat Ismayilov and Ushangi Kokauri won team championship.

Stand shooter Nurlana Jafarova took the second place both in an individual and team matches. Emin Jafarov also won a medal.

Taekwondo challenger Milad Beigi Harchegani (80 kg) won a gold medal while Mahammad Mammadov (63 kg) hit a bronze.

Rafael Aghayev (75 kg) won a karate championship as Parviz Abdullayev (75 kg) gained a bronze medal. Rashad Sadigov, Tellur Mutallimov and Elvin Jamalov were a part of the national U23 football team, who took the domestic league.

8. Third in World, Second in Europe
Rio-2016 bronze winner Kamran, 75 kg, won silverware of the European Boxing Championship in Ukraine and bronze medal of the World Cup in Germany.

9. Dünya və Universiada çempionu
Başa çatmaqda olan il “Qəbələ”nin taekvondoçusu Milad Beiqi Harçeqani üçün qələbələrlə zəngin olub. 80 kq çəki dərəcəsində çıxış edən idmançı qatıldığı yarışların çoxunda fəxri kürsünün ən yüksək pilləsinə qalxıb. İslamiadanın qalibi olan Milad Cənubi Koreyada təşkil edilən dünya çempionatında da bütün rəqiblərinə qalib gəlib. Dünya çempionumuz həm də Taypeydə Dünya Yay Universiadasının qızıl medalına yiyələnib.

10. From Ozobic to Guliyev
Filip Ozobic took debut for the Croatian national team. Nika Kvekveskiri played for Georgia and Sergei Zenjov came on the pitch for Estonia. Javid Huseynov, Ruslan Gurbanov, Mahammad Mirzabayov, Tellur Mutallimov, Araz Abdullayev and Urfan Abbasov fielded for different provisional teams. Coach Ramin Guliyev took charge as a head coach of the national U17 team.

11. Gabala reached to European Club Association
SC Gabala has been entitled as a member of the European Club Association as one of the three clubs representing Azerbaijan, also with Neftchi and Qarabagh, in the international organization over the season. The ECA holds 200 member clubs from 53 countries.
