Gabala ended 2:2 with Zira in the Azerbaijan Premier League’s 18th tour away. The pace of the match started by a low temper. But a lbit later, Gabala took the momentum. Zira held on clear and the red-black side were unable to set up any occasion up to the opener goal by Daniel Subotic, in the 37th minute, meeting a perfect telegraph from Sergei Zenjov in the right. This was Subotic’s fifteenth goal for Gabala, including fourteen in the league.

Another pulsating moment came up with the same scenario when Zenjov set up Subotic again and the latter’s great shot past the goalkeeper but was denied by an opponent defender. The home side looked faster after the restart and scored to level in the 54th minute with Victor Igbekoi.

Grigorchuk reinforced the defense with Araz Abdullayev who set up a great cross into the box that found Zenjov coming one on one with the Zira goal keeper. The latter denied the ball that met the Estonian again and Akim Latifu converted the ball over the woodwork.

Ramaldanov picked up the second yellow card and left Gabala in ten. Grigorchuk sent Mahammad Mirzabayov to the left and moved Urfan Abbasov to the center.

Filip Ozobic put Gabala one ahead opening his scoring for Gabala in the league. He fired in after having a great pass from Javid Huseynov. The goal was registered as the Croatian’s tenth of the season.

Zira threw everything against Gabala in the closing minutes and scored back again during the stoppage time – 2:2.
