Gabala U19 have shared 1:1 draw with Sherif from Moldova at home in the first tie of the UEFA Youth League’s first stage. Emin Imamaliyev’s squad took more space after the kick-off. But the opener was scored by the visiting side from Tiraspol. Danila Ignatov put Sherif one ahead in the 31st minute.
After the restart, Gabala were able to level. Opponent Aleksandru Osipov fouled on Vusal Masimov in the box led to a penalty shot in by Ali Sadykhov in the 57th minute.
The goial promted Gabala to push harder to score the all-important goal but failed on their some chances. Now the pair are going to face in the return match in Tiraspol on October 24.
