Gabala 2:2 Besiktas

The Gabala Football Academy, keeping the progress of youth soccer in their conscious mind by attending training camps abroad, gave a start to the new season with an Istanbul trip of the U-16. At the first leg of the trip, the delegation visited Heydar Aliyev Park in the city of Turkey before having a close look at the Besiktas Inonu Stadium.

Going into the second half of the day, the Gabala U-16 faced Besiktas at the Fulya facilities. Starting well faster with many occasions in the half-time, our young players were able to score only in the 30th minute when Romal Huseynov kicked the through ball of Bahlul Mustafazadeh.

After the restart, the Turkish team got the momentum to equalize the goal taking advantage of our basic mistake in defensive display.

But it was Gabala scoring again on 52 minutes with Farid Asadli, who took the ball from the opponent defense and finished superbly. Then, Gabala laid a sustained period of counter attacks by some threats, which did not work out.

With Gabala feeling comfortable on the breaking minutes after the full-time, Besiktas hit the free-kick ball past our keeper. The event finished in a 2:2 draw.
