Gabala youth reached to their gold medals of the U11 League beating Neftchi 5:3 in Baku. It was their top performance after winning the earlier regional championship of the league before showing better game in the final round.

With today"s warm-up show, our youth made themselves proud of FC Gabala lifting the cup.

The opener came from Neftchi to leave the half on top and clear. In the second period, the team of Zaur Hajiyev came on to show resilience that might be the best of the tournament. Gabala gradually got in behind the team from capital Baku with quick attacks that led them to score their first with 30 minutes left. Turkhan Guluzadeh shot to level and forced the game to progress into the second extra time. The sides could have scored in the two 5-minute times but they both were out and the game then turned on penalty shootout. And it was Gabala coming out as a better team shooting home 2 more than Neftchi - 5:3.

Right after the game, the champions - Gabala, Neftchi and Ganja - were awarded with the cup and medals. Turkhan, from the red-black side, was ordered to be the best player of the tournament.
