Gabala ended the group stage of the Gallini U13 World Cup in Italy on top. The red-black team won the first tie against Sofia Sport B (Bulgaria) with 14:0 where Elmir Huseynli scored four, Sanan Aghalarov, Mirimran Musayev and Eshgin Ahmadli hit two for each as Okan Tahmazli, Ravil Gafarov, Huseynagha Salimov and Murad Alakbarov shot one for each. Then in the second tour, Gabala in the Group E took a cleansheet victory on Italy’s Liventina with eleven goals scored by Elmir Huseynli and Sadig Shafiyev both with two goals, as well as by Sanan Karimov, Elvin Garayev, Rufat Badalzadeh, Mirimran Musayev, Ravil Gafarov, Huseynagha Salimov and Murad Alakbarov. The last match of the group stage left Gabala with the next win on another Italian side Ankona. Just before the game was kicked-off, March 31st was mentioned as the Day of Azerbaijanis’ Genocide in Italian at the pitch and a minute’s silence was kept for the memory of the victims. The red-black squad defeated the opponent team with 3:1. Elmir Huseynli scored two as Murad Alakbarov shot in one. Now Gabala are expected to face Hajduk split (Croatia) in the round of 16.
