Gabala hit the first place at the Azerbaijan Men’s Boxin Championship with seven medals, including three gold, two silver and one bronze. At the Boxing Center, Baku, Javid Chalabiyev (60 kg), Kamran Shahsuvarly (75 kg), Rovshan Yagubzadeh (91 kg) struck the gold medals as Rahil Mammadli (91 kg), Pedro Alfonso (81 kg) finished with silverwares. Chalabiyev was unable to come on the final against his teammates because of injury. Lorenzo Sotomayor (69 kg) and Asif Aslanly (+91 kg) gained the bronze medalsş Sotomayor left the contest in the semifinal. The team achievement appears to be the third by the club’s boxers.

The championship was joined by 138 boxers from in 28 teams from across the country.
