Gabala’s U-17 have left to Antalya on Saturday to join the winter training camp holding in Turkey. They will play a few friendlies by 24 January where young footballers from some countries will be tested after the winter break.

The first fixture of Gabala is to be performed on 17 January against Antalya Kunduspor’s U-17 before facing yet undetermined team on 20 January. And for the third match, Famil Khalilov’s students will field against Russia’s U-16.

Some highlighted players from lower age groups were also involved to the delegation.

Just cast your mind back to the last winter training camp that was also in Antalya when Gabala’s tour was supplied by AFFA after our U-17 were the champions of the 2009/2010 league competition. But now our teenagers went to Turkey with silver medallions at the club’s own expense.

Gabala’s delegation will stay at the Papilion Belvil Hotel during the tour.
