Gabala came on four matches of the Izmir Cup of Turkey as the championship have reached to the end today. The red-black team, coached by Zaur Hajiyev, challenged in the Group B for the 17-24th places.

First they won over Siltigeym with a goal by Elmir Huseynli -1:0 before beating also Hamborn 2:1 through goals by Eshgin Ahmadov and Mahammad Fahlulov. Gabala shared a goalless draw with Tuzlaspor, as well, and hit the top side of the group. Then our squad faced Krasnodar in their last tie finished in 2:1 in the red-black side’s favor after Murad Alakbarov and Elmir Huseynli’s goals. This was enough for Gabala to finish 17th after eight wins, four draws and three losses from fifteen appearances in three days. They scored eighteen goals and conceded nine.
