The Gabala Football Academy struck its first title of the 2017/2018 season as U17 won the Bakcell U-17 League organized by the AFFA. The read-back team sealed their gold medals in the 29th beating Zira by 3:0 and boosting their points up to 73 after 23 victories, four draws and two losses. In the all 29 appearances, Gabala scored 101 goals and conceded 17.

The red-black quad are going twelve points ahead their closest opponent side Neftchi. This appears to be the fourth champion title by the youth team after the 2009/10, 2012/13 and 2014/15 seasons. And they won the second place in the 2010/11, 2013/14 and 2015/16 seasons.
