Gabala U19 won on Sherif by 1:3 within the first round of the UEFA Youth League’s Champions Path. The return match started with quick attacks by Gabala. Emin Imamaliyev’s red-black team pushed harder to open the scoring in the 43rd minute with Samir Gurbanov.
After the break, the home side leveled with a penalty before Gurbanov’s double and Sherif’s own goal. The result left Gabala progressing into the second round as the first club from Azerbaijan. Now the red-black squad are going to face the winning side of the match between Hertha (Germany) and Lex (Poland).
