First rounds of the all domestic junior championships have already ended as it has been the main subject of the event on the half-season report held by the Gabala Football Academy today. The meeting revealed the name of the best footballer played in the first round on youth academies. This is Roman Huseynov, who is both Gabala U16"s captain and a member of the Azerbaijan national U17. He was awarded with the Galaxy Tab 2 tablet computer. Sharing his first impressions right after the awarding ceremony, Roman talks to gabalafc.az: 

"I am very happy now. Since there are much talents at the Academy it is really gratifying me to be highlighted among them. If I indeed have any tiny success in the pitch, sure it is produced by both our coaches and teammates. I appreciate all them. I will try and justify their hope on me". 

In general, the first period of the 2012/13 season can be considered productive for the Gabala Football Academy. In the domestic tournaments, Gabala are being represented by 6 age groups - U11, U13, U14, U15, U16 and U17 - 4 of which went into the winter brake on top winning 48 games from 52. There are also 3 draws and one loss. Gabala youth slotted opponent nets 255 times allowing only 22 goals.
