Gabala took a victory over Khazar Lankaran in 2:0 at the 5th tour of the Topaz Premier League on Saturday, which is the 3rd since the season started. It also appears to be the first event we were able to open the scoring in the season. We could score only after openers from the opponents at last two games we won with a big resilience. Having their wins only on a minimal difference, Gabala this time beat Khazar Lankaran scoring 2 and keeping up the clean sheet. The result gifted head coach Yuri Semin his first comfortable win for Gabala, who hit their last 2-goal distinction in the match against Khazar Lankaran ended in 2:0 dating back to the 21st round of the last season. That event followed 4 victories only on one goal difference amongst the next 15 games.

The Saturday win also reached to be the 70th from all 138 home experiences ever in the history of the club, including 13 games in the First Division, 10 Cup and 47 league matches. 

Scoring his first for Gabala, Lorenzo Ebecilio sealed his name as the 80th player scoring for the red-black team. There are 6 more opponent footballers shooting own goals. Ebicilio arrived to be the first Dutch on the list of all the 80 scorers. He provided a master class to the previous Dutch players –  Steve Olfers with 55 games and John Collins with 2 matches, who suffered their goalless time with Gabala. Ebecilio makes himself proud also being the 60th league scorer of the club.
