MMA FIGHTING SERIES”s 2nd contest got underway at the Qafqaz Baku Sport Hotel today. Being organized by the Gabala Sport Club and the Azerbaijan Fight Club, Azerbaijan Ministry of Youth and Sport and International MMA GEFC, the tournament held 15 matches for challengers from Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, Ukraine and Georgia. SC Gabala”s Fuad Musayev, 66 kg, lost to Narbala Atakishiyev of Shamkir Fighting Club.
Nariman Abbasov, 70 kg, won over Iranian Said Lobatin from the Caspian Tigers club to hit his 11th victory. The Gabala hero went on the canvas right after his win holding the Azerbaijan flag and told he dedicated this win to the victim fighters of his country who died during the recent days of the fights against the Armenia aggression in Qarabagh of Azerbaijan.
Huseyn Aliyev, 77 kg, also displayed his win with the Azerbaijan flag after beating Ukrainian Maksim Shilo from Spartak, which was his 6th in his all 7 official appearances.
