Gabala”s Urfan Abbasov made his debut for the Azerbaijan national team in the friendly (2:1) against Moldova. The 23-year-old defender shares his impressions about the experience:

“We played much better than Moldova setting up some many occasions. But it doesn”t mean the opponents are weak. The game run just like we planned. It is really proud to play for a national squad. And I appreciate the head coach having a faith in me and giving me a chance for the debut. I will push harder to repay him in the further chances. You need to keep working harder for a club if you wish to be called for the provisional team always. The last tours performances were not our best on the pitch and now we are preparing really hard to the upcoming events to extend our points.

And following my own performance in the all 12 games of the season, I am not satisfied with them and will work much more to play much better. Now Gabala are going to visit Sumgayit just for 3 points and I am quite sure we will hit this”.
