Gabala”s 2 footballers came on the match for the Azerbaijan national team against Moldova at the Baku Olympic Stadium, where the home side won 2:1. Making up the starting lineup, Arif Dashdamirov was changed only in the stoppage time after hitting his 10th experience for the provisional squad. Making a deal with Gabala this summer, the defender appeared in the national team for his 5th time as a red-black side player.

Another Gabala hero other than Dashdamirov is Urfan Abbasov being introduced in the 69th minute for his debut in the national team. The 23-year-old defender reached to be altogether 17th representative from Gabala in the provisional. Aleksandr Chertoganov represented Gabala in the national team more than any other red-black player with 13 appearances.

Vurghun Huseynov and Mahir Shukurov are having, respectively, 10 and 9 game experiences for the Azerbaijan national team while 5 more European squads – Slovenia, Latvia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia – drove benefits with one Gabala player for each.
