Bakhtiyar Abbasov, MMA fighter of Gabala, Azerbaijan, is going to have his next fight at One Fighting Championship: Battle of Lions in Singapore Friday. He will face high-experienced fighter with MMA class Luis Santos from Brazil. With 186 cm height, the South American fighter is 34 year-old and came on more than 60 fights. His time progressing into the flourishing period of his career dates back to his time with Bellaton. But one of his best achievements is one-on-one fight against Alfred Morales Extreme Fighting Championships MMA in Rio-de-Janeiro, when Luis finished the match with frontkick to be a potential candidate to the year”s knockout tittle.

Abbasov talks ahead of his fight: “My confidence is high thanks to my brother and coach Shahriyar Abbasov, as well as warm support my fans and compatriots. My all fights were always serious for me, but this time it is my MMA experience and I focused only on victory”.

Shahriyar Abbasov, brother coach says: “We prepare to a really serious task in Singapore. The opponent is really a strong and established fighter. But I think his gains were temporary and changed at times with losses. So we can estimate him only on the Friday match”.

It is worth to notice Bakhtiyar, with 177 cm height and 28 year-old, is having possession that consists of 13 fights, with most of them finishing early in first round. His career also includes MMA experience with more than 5 years, ProFC class tittle that he earned beating Laslo Soltes at ProFC - Grand Prix Global Finals in 2011. Later on, he defeated French fighter Youness Mikiss at ECSF – MMA Grand Prix of Eastern Europe 2. And in 2013, Abbasov took victory over Charlse Andrade, one of most experienced fighters of MMA, in CWFC 58 – Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 58.

His list of achievements makes him proud with PROFC-GPG class, as well as taking worlds cups of pankration, sambo, ciu-citsu and close combat. The international master class fighter is also champion on Sambo World Cup, Sambo Fighting European Cup, Azerbaijan Sambo Cup, as well as on Judo Cup of Azerbaijan.
