Gabala’s karate fighter Rafael Aghayev, challenging also for the Azerbaijan national team, took the bronze medal of the Dubai Karate 1 Premier League 2019 in the United Arab Emirates. The 75-kg challenger won on Ivan Martinach from (Croatia) with 1:0, Andrea Minardi (Italy) with 4:0 and Erman Eltemur (Turkey) with 2:0 progressing into the semifinal. Then he lost to Bahman Asgari (Iran) with 0:2 before fighting for the bronze medal. The red-black hero beat Logan Da Kosta (France) to take the 3rd place.
