Aisha Gurbanly, challenging for SC Gabala and Azerbaijan national judo team, hits her next success taking the 2nd place at the Oceania Open Championship in Australia after gaining a bronze medal from Africa. The 48-g fighter came on the canvas 4 times in the city of Wollongong.

In her first-leg match, Gurbanly beat Je Hum Ceng from Hong Kong in 40 seconds before punishing Anne Suzuki from USA in 45 seconds with ippon on both.

In the semifinal, she knocked Indonesian Terry Kusumawardani Susanti out of the contest in 17 seconds to face Katelin Bouyssoun from USA in the final. Aisha lost to her opponent, over whom she had won in the African Championship to for the 3rd place. So the Gabala hero ended with the Australian championship 2nd with a silverware.
