Gabala”s karate fighter for Azerbaijan national team Niyazi Aliyev, 67 kg, struck a gold medal at an opening championship organized by the Uspex Sport Club in Novosibirsk of Russia. 

He was one of the 3 fighters in the Azerbaijan provisional team with also our Rafiz Hasanov. Another Gabala member was Rafael Aghayev, who joined the contest only as a trainer as he was injured.
