Gabala have updated their league season reaching to the 8th win on the trot after beating Khazar Lankaran 1:0 in the 31st tour of the Topaz Premier League. The away game was planned up to the victory by head coach Roman Grigorchuk.

Victor Mendy gave the first threat of the night before failing to score from a close range. Shortly after, Ruslan Fomin could open the scoring but he was unable to convert the ball Bakhtiyar Soltanov into the net. Later on, the course of the match was balanced by mutual attacks.

Grigorchuk introduced fast player Ekigho Ehiosun replacing Fomin. This led to Javid Huseynov”s move to the center for stepping up the forward line of the red-black side. Gabala”s sustained pressure forced the opponents into foul on Grigorchuk”s men led to sending Elvin Mirzayev off after his 2nd yellow card in the stoppage time.

As Khazar Lankaran went down to ten, Gabala restarted faster that seemed as a matter of time before Javid shot in after Mendy”s set up – 1:0. The goal was registered in the winner.
