Gabala’s eleventh tour away of the domestic Premeir League has ended in a goalless draw. The pace of the game started with quick attacks by Roman Grigorchuk’s red-black side led to the very early threat against AZAL when Filip Ozobic’s free-kick was dined by the post in the second minute. Just a little later, Gurbanov’s promising shot in the box was deflected by the keeper.
Although further inroads into the AZAL defense, it was difficult to cut through their line. And the opponents looked backing on counter attacks. Grigorchuk was sent off the technical area again just like in the last UEFA EL match against Saint-Etienne three days ago. 

At times, AZAL’s defense looked lost and Asif Mammadov had an effort but saw his long-range shot tipped.

The second period of the match started by the same way and Rashad Eyubov went too close to opening but failed to finish in the box. Later on, Theo Weeks and Ozobich’s shots were deflected by the host keeper. And the latter’s threatening shot past wide of the post. Gabala’s keeper Dmytro Bezotosniy held on clear against counter attacks from the home side.

Weeks’s poor close-range kick was the last pulsating moment during the closing minutes. After the final whistle, Gabala reached their point up to 25.
