Bakhtiyar Abbasov against Ben Askren - Press release

Bakhtiyar Abbasov, fighting for Gabala, Azerbaijan with MMA Sport in international contests, will come on the scene of the One Fighting Championship that the highest-order tournament in Asia. He is going to have his debut in the Singapore Indoor Stadium with 10 matches starting from 30th May 2014. His most important encounter of the day is to be against Ben Askren. The fixture is the 14th of Abbasov, 28, in his all 5-year experience in MMA fights. He is having 13 matches taking victory in a first-leg first round. Being in 177,8 cm in height, Abbasov gained his ProFC champion title in ProFC - Grand Prix Global Finals beating Laslo Soltes in December 2011 shortly before defeating French Youness Mikiss in Western Europe ECSF - MMA Grand Prix. 

In 2013, Abbasov beat Brazilian Charles Andrade, who is of much experienced MMA fighters, in CWFC 58 - Cage Warriors Fighting Championship.

Bakhtiyar”s career is growing up through his some impressive records as he is a PROFC-GPG champion, World champion in pankration, World champion in Sambo, World champion in Combat Sambo, World champion in Jiu-jitsu, World champion in Hand-to-hand Figh, tChampion of World Cup in Sambo, Champion of Europe in Combat Sambo, Champion of Аzerbaijan in Sambo, Champion of Аzerbaijan in Judo and Sport master international class. 

American opponent Askren is 29 year old with 178 cm in height. Fighting for almost 5 years, Askren will come on the scene for his first after the fight against Andrey Koreskov protecting his Bellator title at the end of the 6 victories on the trot. His possession includes also wins over fighters such as Karl Psixo Amossu, Duglas Lima, Jay Hieron, Laymon Gud and Den Hornbakl. Ben fought for USA with freestyle wrestling in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, as well as gained the title of the world grappling champion in 2009.
