Bakhtiyar Abbasov hit World Champion title

SC Gabala’s MMF fighter Bakhtiyar Abbasov, challenging also for the national team, won the MMA GEFC Global (Grand European Fighting Championship) dedicated to national leader Heydar Aliyev’s 95th anniversary. The red-black challenger, 33-year-old and 84 kg, beat Joze Eudes Tavares from Brazil in the five-round match and finished his job in the fourth round with technical knockout at the Elektra Events Hall in Baku.

Another Gabala challenger other than Abbasov is Huseyn Aliyev, 70 kg, ending a 3-round fight in a draw against Aybek Nurseit from Kazakhstan.
