Gabala are going to face Dinamo Zagreb (Croatia) in a testing game within the Slovenia training camp Thursday. The sides will meet at the Mura stadium in the town of Murska Sobota. The game will kick-off at 8:00 pm. AZT
The highest-class team of Croatia was founded in 1945 on the base of Gradanski, 6-time league champions. They reached to the Yugoslavia in their first season winning a silverware in the 1946/47 season before hitting the trophy in the next term.
In their Yugoslavia time, Dinamo Zagreb won four league and seven cup tournaments. They lifted also the European championship of Fair Cup in 1966/67. And they played in the final of 1962/63.
After Croatia got freedom, Zagreb became evident leading side of the domestic football with nineteen league titles in 27 seasons, including fifteen cup trophies. Dinamo Zagreb won also Supercup in 2002, 2003, 2006, 2010 and 2013.
The opponent side come on home matches at the Maksimir pitch.
They are having a large eurocup experiences almost with 300 matches. It was a common experience for them to play in a group stage of the UEFA Champions’ League. But they were unable to go more ahead and even failed to these successes of 1960s.
Taking the next gold medals of the Croatia Premier League again last season, Dinamo are going to play in the Champions’ League.
It’s worth to remember Gabala had shared the first trial match against Kukesi (Albania) in 1:1.
