"I scored my first goal. This is gratifying that I could make it in my debut. The most important is that the goal helped us winning. It is always hard to come on a debut match. The case is harder to players being off the pitch for a long time just like me. I played at my last professional match in May this year. Now I left behind those days without football. I think my debut appeared of a good performance", -- talks to gabalafc.az Daniel Sobatic, coming on his first match for Gabala against AZAL, on Sunday, and sealing the winner goal. The Swiss forward is convinced to be helpful to the team for the oncoming matches, too. He shares his impression on his scoring moment:
"I was thinking about a header. Then I changed my mind to try for getting the ball with my breast and shot right home. It worked out. It is always hard to play for full 90 minutes. You need high physical for to hold on for a such debut. We prepared well, and I need to work out much more for the next matches. I believe to be able to score at the oncoming games to be helpful to the team".
Daniel, 24, reaches to be 160th player ever in the history of Gabala. He is also the 74th legionnaire, as well as some other nationalized footballers. All they are from 28 foreign countries. Subotic"s goal arrived to be the 150th in all 135 away games of Gabala, which include victories in 26 I Division events, 17 cup and 107 league matches.
