The 11th tour match of the Topaz Premier League of Gabala against Sumgayit sealed another debut from the Gabala Football Academy. Elvin Jamalov got the foothold in the starting lineup to be the 162nd of all the footballers playing for Gabala A team. The midfielder, 18, is also the 88th domestic player of Gabala beyond the all 74 foreign footballer. And Jamalov appears to be the 147th league player of Gabala.
He talks to gabalafc.az after the 2:0 victory over Sumgayit sharing his impressions on the debut:
-- “I felt some anxious as it was my very first match and it was deeper in the earlier minutes. Then I got fixed to the later progress. The coaches had said it would be most important to make the first pass right. I got a bit relieved as I did this precise. The better is the victory of the team and trust of the coaches on me. Both of these happened in my debut game. Only coaches themselves can say how well I responded to their tasks. I put on the pitch my best. I will go on with the trainings by more efforts. My target is to enhance my first team practice and to be established in the team”.
