Gabala reserves have lost the away to Baku in the 8th tour of the domestic championship. The match really was a cracking forum as it was expected to be while Baku are having the maximum points in the league table and the visitors were unbeaten with high-scoring victories of the last reserve league matches.
The pace of the match started by mutual quick pressings and it worked to be an open game more regularly. In this vain, the first half ended with 4 goals.
The home side scored, in the 5th minute, the opening goal 21 minutes before the feedback by visitor Aziz Huseynov.
After Baku went ahead again with the 31st-minute goal, our Murad Musayev headed the ball past the host keeper from a searching cross just before the half-time – 2:2.
The second half was less than a warm-up show until the end that was sealed with a controversial decision by an assistant referee. The conflict rose in the 81st minute when our keeper Farid Aghayev smothered the ball from a Baku corner but the referee emphatically pointed to the centre circular allowing it as a goal despite Gabala protests.
Our further efforts were unable to equalize again and the disputable decision of the referee forced the squad of Luis Aragon to finish with no points.
