Gabala accepted Neftchi in the 25th tour of the Premier League where both sides were expected to struggle warmly just for higher levels on the table.

The match started by mutual checkup attempts. The early minutes of the trial efforts then developed into attacks that led to the 29-minute opener by the visitors.
