Boxer Fariz Mammadov of Gabala, Azerbaijan, has held press conference in Baku ahead of the next Saturday"s fight against German Matthias Pelk. He will come on the ring at the Gabala Olympic Complex just for IFB and WBO classes of Europe. Both boxers met mass media at the Qafqaz Point Hotel. Promoter of the fight Yashar Niftaliyev said both fighters are expected by a hard and pulsating match. He suggested that the event is the first Azerbaijan hosts on 2 classes.
Pelk feels pleased to be in Azerbaijan after a good welcome. Being engaged in the professional box since 2004, he is much interested in the fight coming up. Pelk values Mammadov as a strong boxer. He adds:
"We analyze every boxer before match. We watched Fariz"s fights and well know about his ability. I have already met some 10 to 12 boxers fighting in the same type with Fariz. I know him much well".
And Fariz thanked to IFB and WBO on providing opportunity to fight for both classes. He adds:
"This is what I wished for long. I have not been fighting in 12 rounds for the last 9 years. My opponent is strong and it gives me stimulation to fight against him. I will come on the ring just for win and I only have to win".
