First Nigerian in Gabala - Statistics

With the 19th tour game of the Topaz Premier League against Garabagh, Gabala are making the first draw in the last 112 days of 9 league and one cup games. The first official match of 2013 ended in 1:1 just like the previous draw against Khazar Lankaran in away dating back to 21st October 2012.

- The last home draw was written goalless against AZAL on 29 September, after which Gabala came on their own pitch for 6 events with 5 league games.

- It was the 30th draw under Ramiz Mammadov with 26 league and 4 cup experiences.

- The goal our team conceded just arrived to be the 250th in the all history of Gabala that includes 14 First Division games, 27 cup matches and 209 league events. 
- in the 19th tour, seven footballers came on to play for Gabala for their first: Luka Jinko (Slovenia), Cristian Pulhak (Romania), Moustapha Dabo (Senegal) and Ifeanyi Emeghara (Nigeria) 
 Nikola Valentic (Serbia) and domestic players Jeyhun Sultanov and Amit Guluzadeh. 

- These transfers extended the number of the all footballers played for Gabala up to 148. And 133 of them were introduced in league matches with 15 who performed only in First Division or cup shows. 

- In the 8-year history of the club, Amit and Jeyhun made the number of the all domestic players of Gabala reach to 81. And the five new foreign players were added into the list of the legionnaires that already includes 67. Here six of them are taken into account  as players from their original countries although they have already nationalized in Azerbaijan.

- Valentic arrived to be the 6th Serbian in the team following Lubo Baranin, Milan Antic, Veseljko Trivunovic, Milan Mainkovic and Branimir Subasic.

- Before Cristian Pulhaka, we had only two Romanians – Razvan Tarlea and Marius Humenike.

- Another foreign flavour is Jinko being the second Slovenian after Dejan Kelhar.

- Moustapha Dabo is the second representing Senegal with Victor Mendy, who currently plays for Gabala. 

- But Emeghara is the first-ever Nigerian in Gabala and he writes his country"s name to be the 28th. 

- All the 67 foreign players represent the following 28 states: Georgia – 9, Brazil - 8, Russia, Serbia – both with 6, Ukraine – 5, Moldova, Romınia – both with 3, Holland, Bulgaria, Guinea, Turkey, Senegal, Slovenia – all with 2, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, England, Iran, Congo, Latvia, Polşa, Portugal, Ivory coast, Sierra Leone, Turkmenistan, Jamaica, Scotland, France and Nigeria – all with one.

- Making the opening goal, Luka is the 75th scoring for Gabala. And there also are six more own goals.

- From all of the 75, Gabala has 37 domestic and 38 foreign players. Jinko is the one breaking the balance.

- Luka is the 55th league player scoring for Gabala.
