Gabala shared 1:1 draw with Keshla at home within the 6th tour of the Azerbaijan Premier League. The red-black team started faster let to a free-kick by Gismat Aliyev from a promising position in the 4th minute. But his shot was denied by the opponent defenders. After a quick counter attack, Keshla’s Amil Yunanov opened the scoring. After the goal, Gabala gained momentum and pushed harder to setting up more attacks. Going more into the match, Rauf Aliyev’s two efforts were canceled from scoring. A corner found Rasim Ramaldanov before the latter's poor header went too close to leveling. Later on, Steeven Monroze and Lalavele Atakora were off the target.

After the restart, James Adeniyi was introduced by the Gabala coach Sanan Gurbanov reinforcing the forward line. At times, Ilgar Gurbanov capitalized on the ball coming one-on-one with the Keshla keeper denied his close-range shot. Monroze and Gismat set up some more troubles to the visiting keeper, but failed to score. And Gabala’s leveler arrived in the 76th minute after Adeniyi’s telegraph found Monroze in the box finishing with a follow-up effort clinically.

The result left Gabala with the second draw of the season.
